Program Summary
$135,000 in funding is available to RCDs through this solicitation for RCD
capacity-building projects. Eligible projects to increase RCD capacity include fundraising, planning,
partnership development, community education and outreach, and improving operational efficiency.
2017 RCD Financial Assistance Program
In 2017, the DOC awarded 59 grants to qualified
Resource Conservation Districts (RCDs). Consistent with the
CA Association of Resource Conservation
Districts (CARCD) Vision and
Standards, the program helped RCDs build capacity and increase
effectiveness, which enhances resource
conservation and management both locally and throughout the
state.
