PROBLEM

SOLUTION

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may have a file download size limit. Many of the map files are very large and may exceed the limit that your ISP will allow. Contact your ISP.
Microsoft Internet Explorer settings may need  to be changed.
  • Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
  • Click the Advanced tab.
  • Under Browsing, click the "Use Web Based FTP" or "Enable Folder View for FTP sites" to clear the check box.
  • Your internal network may have file size limit. Contact your IT technician.
Your IT department may have controls on accessing FTP sites. If you are trying to download maps Contact IT or check under the Tools->Internet Options>Advanced tab, and uncheck the the "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)" option.
Your computer cache may be overloaded. Clear your computer browser cache.
Acrobat Reader is not installed on your computer or is not initialized to your browser. Our “Download Button” seems to be downloading the PDF file, but you do not see the PDF file opening and you do not get an error message. Make sure you have a recent (5.0 or later) version of Acrobat Reader Version installed on your computer. If symptoms remain, save the PDF file to your hard drive, then open it using Acrobat Reader. Click here to download the newest version of Adobe Acrobat.
Tiff file will not open. Save the Tiff file on your hard disk. Go to Windows, Programs, Accessories, and open the IMAGING program. It will open the Wang Imaging program. Now open the Tiff file from this program. Newer versions of Windows may have different imaging programs.

For more suggestions on opening Tiff files, click here.

To save files to your hard drive, right-mouse click on map number that you want and select “Save Target As”.
You will then be asked for a location to save the file on your hard drive.
