See changes in land use for specific regions
California's population increased by nearly 48% between 1984 and 2008, according to Department of Finance estimates. FMMP has mapped changes in land use accompanying this growth since 1984, but each individual map does not capture how much change can occur in less than a generation.
The information is gathered using air photos and site visits, and the data was extracted from FMMP's GIS database to create animated .gif files. No special software is necessary on your browser to view them.
