The California Geological Survey (CGS) is regarded as the primary source of geological and seismological products and services for decision making by California's government agencies, its businesses and the public. A significant function of CGS is to not only produce scientific maps and information but to get those scientific resources in the hands of the people that need and/or want that information. This is the purpose of the CGS outreach activities.
This webpage has been established to provide the public with a conduit to information from public events in which CGS has participated. Display posters, maps, and related background publications are some of the items posted. If you are searching for information which we used during our outreach events that has not been included on these web pages, please contact CGS through the Earthquake DOC email address.
